Kitchen construction

Here are some pictures of the process that I was sure would only take 4 weeks (the optimist) and Eric was spot on with his estimate of 8 weeks(the Realist).

One of the great things about having workers in our house was that Keaton was mesmerized with their tools, noises ect. After eating he would just stay in his highchair for a long time to watch the action. The Hardest part of having workers on our house was it was nearly impossible to keep Keeter away from their tools and all the stuff left on the ground that is the perfect size to choke a baby.

My view

Keaton LOVES to watch the chickens but I only take him inside the gate when I am holding him. It was raining so I stuck the umbrella in the fence so he could watch me fill the feeders(I needed both hands). I turned around and this was my view. I am so blessed!

More chicks!

Even if it's freezing outside, it's springtime at our house.
We ordered 12 chicks, but I came home with 16. Everyone asked me why I didn't get more (yes we are crazy).

Keaton loves the chicks... at a distance. When they get close he freaks out. He better get over his foul fear quick around here.
