A little quilting

I am in a 12 X 12 quilt exchange (12 people each make one block a month for 12 months). January was Barbara's month and she requested that we each make her a beach theme block using only batik fabric. I googled and flickred and could not find anything I was excited about. Then I remembered this awesome photo Eric took of a sea turtle on our trip.

So I quilted it.

I hope she likes it.

You can see the the blocks from the other months here.

Great idea! I like how you pieced the background in strips. Thanks for reminding me to add mine to the flickr group.

OH my word Chanel! I LOVE IT! I love your club! Those squares are so great! I've really realyl gotten into quilting lately so I love looking at your quilts! I'm making Carly, Jessica, and Courtney quilts right now, and I made Katelyn and emma quilts for Christmas. I'll post mine on my blog soon and let you see them! Jacki and Shar loved them. Which made me happy that the creative sisters liked them!

Mandee-
I will watch for your quilts, can't wait to see them.
You come from such an amazingly talented and appreciative family I can only imagine how happy they were to get your quilts. I miss all those Rich/Shaffer/Kennedy girls! I'm glad you are taking care of them.
